Art Makers Denver presents three days of innovative art workshops to creatives worldwide. Attendees will experience an artistic broadening, learning from a hand-picked faculty of renowned art instructors. Art Makers Denver delivers the spirit of artistic discovery in a variety of mediums and materials, while allowing makers to explore a wide range of techniques. Workshops include a diverse group of instructors and artists possessing various levels of experience; all with the relentless desire to create, discover, explore and enjoy! Anyone can attend – no experience necessary. You will be amazed with what you can create!
Helen Rice
President
Helen Rice, founder of Art Makers Denver, believes that when people occupy their hands, hearts and minds with creativity, the world will be a more peaceful, positive and beautiful place. This belief was exactly what inspired her to start this 3-day maker’s event. Her goal was to provide an annual event, in an inspiring venue, for creative people to learn and exchange innovative techniques and ideas.
She is also founder and President of Willow – An Artisan’s Market, located in historic downtown Littleton. After working as an accountant in the oil and gas industry for 20 years, she took the leap to follow her dream and open Willow in 2004. Helen doesn’t consider herself an artist, but with a love for art and all things hand-made, her vision and goals are clear in the carefully curated handmade goods that fill her store, and the hand-picked art instructors that teach annually at Art Makers Denver. On any given day, Helen can be found discussing each of her artist’s work in affectionate detail, giving her shoppers a glimpse into the lives of the artists she represents, or passionately promoting the next exciting art retreat!
